Your current operating system is unknown. Please upgrade to an operating system listed in the table atop this page.
Your current browser is Default Browser 0. You can upgrade by clicking the link directly below the menu in the upper left corner of this page.
Javascript is currently not on in your browser.
To turn it on in Internet Explorer:
| Look in the lower right corner of your browser window. This area (shown left) indicates the "zone" where your browser is pointed. It is probably pointed at the internet, as this example shows. Wherever it is pointing, remember the location. | ![]() |
| Now from the menu, select Tools/Internet Options..., as shown. | ![]() |

Bandwidth is defined as "The amount of data that can be passed along a communications channel in a given period of time." In other words, how fast is your connection? The table below shows a breakdown of bandwidths, and special considerations that may need to be taken into account for each one.
Please note: The bandwidth test on this page is not comprehensive. You may wish to reload this page a few times to see if the number changes. Your perfomance may vary from the table below.
| Bandwidth (Kbps) | Pages | Audio | Video | Description | Suggestions |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

If the presentation system functions at all, it will likely not be an acceptable performance. This bandwidth is not sufficient for video, and audio will likely be problematic. | Click the test button atop this page to determine if audio will work on your system. Connect using a computer that has more bandwidth. Otherwise, do not purchase training programs that use video. |

Page and audio function should be sufficient. If video functions, it is likely to be problematic. | If audio performance is not acceptable during normal use, do the following: after you press "Play" to start the presentation, immediately hit the pause button and allow the pages to complete loading. After Loading is complete, then start the presentation. This way, pages and audio will not be competing for your bandwidth. |

Help Windows are disabled. This is most likely due to your having a popup blocker installed on your system. Do one of the following to allow Help Windows to function:
Unfortunately, it is not possible to give instructions on adding items to your whitelist, since there are literally hundreds of popup blockers in use. Check the help file for your program, or visit the site where you got it. If you still can't figure it out, select 'Help' and submit a help ticket.
It may also be possible that this test failed because of a slow connection (see Bandwidth). Try refreshing the page once or twice.
To determine the version of DirectX you have installed on your computer, do the following:
You will see a dialog box like the one shown below. Ensure that the version number (shown in the red box) is at least 8.1. If your version is older than version 8.1, click here to upgrade to the newest version.
|
To change these settings, minimize all applications so you are looking at the desktop. Right mouse click on a blank portion of the desktop and select "Properties" as shown at right. |

You will then be shown a dialog box like the one shown left. Move to the "Settings" tab, as shown. Adjust the color depth in the blue circle. To make the screen resolution higher, move the slider in the red box to the right (until it is at least 800x600). To change your color depth, change the selection in the blue box (until it is at least 16 bit). Press OK to accept changes. If your screen cannot handle the resolution or color depth, it will return to your previous settings in 15 seconds. If the adjustment is successful, accept the change when asked. |
